    (Redirected from German Peasantry)

Anabaptism is a radical protestant religion that eventually gave birth to many other popular religions like the Amishism, Mennonitism, Hutteritism, etc.

    History[edit | edit source]

During the rapid increase in technology, and the protestant reformation, some dude I forgot the name of held a communion at the Gross Church, in order to reform infant Baptism as well as other religious practices. They formed a small group at the church, however the city council entirely ignored there reforms, and many within the church's circle began to believe things weren't moving quickly enough. The church divided itself between the radicals and more conservative/slow reformers, however the city eventually forced people who didn't baptize their children to be expelled from the local town. Eventually, some of the radical members called a meeting, and all there were baptized, leading to the birth of Anabaptism.

    Beliefs[edit | edit source]

The core doctrines of Anabaptism include simple living, free will, separation of the church and state, nonconformity to the world, baptism (obviously, however they are a bit more liberal with how they manage in than other Baptist churches) etc. It also recognizes that when a person enters adulthood, the soul is cleansed of sins.

    God[edit | edit source]

The Holy Trinity. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

    Variants[edit | edit source]

    German Peasantry[edit | edit source]

German Peasantry is the ideology of the German Peasants' Army, who fought in the German Peasants' War against the Swabian League. It failed because of heavy opposition from the aristocracy, who slaughtered up to 100,000 of the 300,000 poorly armed peasants and farmers. The survivors were fined and achieved few, if any, of their goals.

    Personality[edit | edit source]

Rather uptight and secretive, they seem calm, however they are quite rebellious.
