Rastafarianism is a syncretic religious movement that had its beginning on Jamaica in 30s.

God[edit | edit source]
Rastafarians believe in God called Jah, that is shortened name of Old Testament god Yahweh. Jah created the world and takes care of it. They connect elements of Abrahamic religion with traditional Black pagan beliefs, making it a syncretic religious movement.
Revelation[edit | edit source]
Rasta believe that currently living black population are offsprings of King David.
Eschatology[edit | edit source]
They consider Africa to be the Promised Land.
Race[edit | edit source]
According to Rastafari black race is the chosen race of God, while promoting strong vision of equality of all people. Rasta believe in universal peace on the world, coming from intersectional treatment of people of all races.
Babylon[edit | edit source]
Babylon is the metaphor of all evil on the world.
